About.

MY NAME IS JAKE

Don’t wear it out… some people refer to me as “Jake from State Farm”…I’ve learned to roll with it.

I am an actor, a musician, a writer, and an entrepreneur.  I also work out.

Hello, and welcome to Saving Masculinity – reclaiming your masculinity one rep at a time.

This is a blog dedicated to turning boys into men, and men into better men.

There are men who struggle with with their inner masculinity out there.  A growing number of men who are:

  • Not good with women
  • Not financially stable
  • Not the best dressed or the best looking
  • Who struggle with direction in their life
  • Who didn’t have a good father figure/male role model growing up and/or grew up with a single mother
  • Who are are validation seeking
  • Who seek approval
  • Who have low confidence or self esteem

This is for them.  HOWEVER, this blog is also for men who may be well rounded and have all those things, yet still seek knowledge and direction; perhaps a like-minded community.  This will NOT be a politically correct blog.  I don’t believe in sugar coating the truth.  If thats what you want, go to Buzzfeed or Cracked.

In our current stream of consciousness, “feminism” has kind of become a controversial word.  Many are starting to catch on that 3rd wave, current mainstream feminism and far, far left liberal politics have sort of been shaming masculinity, and giving young men really bad ideas about sex, relationships, and themselves.

I agree with this sentiment.  I believe in equality, and women are perfectly capable of doing many things men can do.  But feminism, at least current feminism, is NOT about equality, but special treatment, and the dismissal of men’s issues.

It took me a while to get out of the phase, especially in high school, that being a man “is bad” and that its NOT ok to express sexual interest or challenge women.

I want to share with men how to reclaim the natural born masculinity that has been slowly taken away from them– whether through male shaming, circumcision, or orders of “checking your privilege”.

I feel that masculinity has been stolen.

I’m here to give it back to you.

(You can thank me later).
